Seeking Therapists in: Virginia, Maryland, and Florida

Our practice primarily serves adults, couples, and families. We welcome clinicians with a variety of specialties and value allowing therapists to focus on the client populations and issues they feel most passionate about.

  • Independent contractor model – 1099-NEC position (note: no health/insurance benefits provided)

  • Competitive pay – percentage-based compensation (55%-60%), depending on experience (starting average $62.00-$70.00/per client depending on client insurance). We accept Aetna, Carefirst, Cigna, Anthem/BCBS, Optum, and Sentara, as well as cash paying clients.

Requirements for Consideration

  • Active Virginia or Florida license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) .Unfortunately, we cannot accept MSWs at this time. Fully licensed clinicians are highly preferred. Must provide proof of licensure if hired and complete background check.

  • Resident Counselors seeing VA licensure welcome to apply. Resident counselors seeking FL license welcome to apply (*unable to provide supervision for FL residents).

  • 1-2 years related therapeutic experience

  • Minimum caseload of 15 clients per week (with option to increase)

  • Timely completion of session notes in our EHR

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Fluency in another language is highly valued

  • Ability to provide telehealth from a secure, HIPAA-compliant space with reliable internet

  • Encouraged to engage in some self-marketing/networking to complement HHVA’s marketing efforts with caseload building.

Location & Modality

  • Telehealth sessions: can be conducted remotely from anywhere within Virginia (for VA applicants) or Florida (for FL applicants)

  • In-person sessions: provided at Sterling office location (21351 Gentry Dr #200, Sterling, VA 20166)
