MS. ALONDRA GONZALEZ, MA, THERAPIST

Alondra Gonzalez believes therapy does not have to be a place where you already have everything figured out. Sometimes, it can simply be the first place where you are able to slow down, make sense of what you have been carrying, and feel like someone is truly listening. She is committed to building genuine therapeutic relationships and helping clients recognize their strengths, navigate difficult seasons, and create meaningful change. Above all, she wants her clients to feel understood, empowered, and more connected to themselves.

Alondra enjoys working with individuals navigating anxiety, stress, relationship concerns, life transitions, self-esteem, emotional overwhelm, and personal growth. She is particularly passionate about helping clients better understand themselves, recognize patterns in their lives and relationships, communicate more effectively, and develop healthier ways of coping with difficult emotions and experiences.

As a bilingual counselor, Alondra speaks both English and Spanish and is passionate about working with diverse and underserved communities, including minority and rural populations. She understands the importance of creating a counseling environment where clients feel culturally understood and respected. She strives to honor each client’s background, values, identity, and lived experiences while recognizing that these factors can play an important role in their mental health and relationships.

Alondra earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Multidisciplinary Studies from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, with minors in Biology, Chemistry, and American Sign Language. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University–Kingsville and holds a certificate in Rural Counseling. Her education and experiences have shaped her interest in understanding people as a whole and recognizing how relationships, culture, life experiences, environment, and personal circumstances can influence emotional well-being.

Her approach to counseling is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. Alondra does not believe there is a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Instead, she takes the time to understand each client’s story, strengths, values, and goals and works with them to find approaches that feel meaningful and realistic. She believes clients are the experts in their own lives, and her role is to provide support, perspective, and tools while allowing clients to move at their own pace.

Ultimately, Alondra is passionate about creating a counseling space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted for who they are. She believes that seeking counseling takes courage and that everyone deserves a space where they can be honest about what they are experiencing without fear of judgment. Her goal is to meet each client where they are and walk alongside them as they work toward greater self-understanding, confidence, and emotional well-being.
